Where Ideas Are Brought Down to Earth!

Writings based on Objectivism, the philosophy of Ayn Rand

Ayn Rand's most popular novels are Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead which present her philosophy, Objectivism, in vivid characterizations. Metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, esthetics, and  politics are the five main branches of philosophy that she identifies. Utilizing her methodology, one can be rational about all aspects of life. These essays present my understanding of Objectivism.

Nuclear Disarmament
Thomas M. Miovas, Jr.

"The United States agreed, for the first time since the
explosion of the first atomic weapon in 1945, to totally
eliminate its nuclear arsenal."

Quoted from the NewsMax article:

I don't have to tell you this sends shivers up my spine,
especially when I don't think China or Russia will fulfill their
agreement to the treaty.

I really think the left wants there to be the threat of total
destruction, not as a deterrent to nuclear strikes, but as a
means of keeping the American people in fear -- because those
who are unafraid can not be ruled.
