The clerics and the religious groups in Iraq already have an
organizational basis, whereas any pro-freedom group would not
have been permitted in Iraq.
However, conservative talk show hosts in the United States are very
much against the establishment of a Fundamentalist Islamic regime
in Iraq. Upon hearing the news about the clerics, Mark Davis of
WBAP in the Dallas / Fort Worth area said "...be afraid, be very
afraid..." If conservative talk show hosts have any influence on the
current US administration, they will be instrumental in preventing
militant Islam from getting established in Iraq.
