Where Ideas Are Brought Down to Earth!

Writings based on Objectivism, the philosophy of Ayn Rand

Ayn Rand's most popular novels are Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead which present her philosophy, Objectivism, in vivid characterizations. Metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, esthetics, and  politics are the five main branches of philosophy that she identifies. Utilizing her methodology, one can be rational about all aspects of life. These essays present my understanding of Objectivism.

Productive Independency
[Romantic call to loveliness]

A mind and body in one act
Can be exciting and a fact:
I use my wits to calculate
A girl who is to be my mate.
Her lovely body compliments
True rational intelligence,
Completing all I want to do
Like celebrating life anew.
She must admire due honesty
Because it knows reality
And revel in a justly pride
As proper virtue is a guide.
Intimidation's not a style
I use to win a slimy guile,
The best has his integrity
As well as rationality.
