Shuttle Disaster

There is an interesting UPI story regarding a possible causative
factor in the breaking up of the Space Shuttle "Columbia."
Essentially, one former astronaut is claiming there was excessive
roughness on the left wing of this shuttle years ago leading to
excessive drag which tended to turn the shuttle sideways during re-
entry. He speculates that the problem was getting worse over time.
